I founded MIT Ethical Technology Initiative because to me, the adverse residual effects of automation and computation on society is one of the most important and yet most overlooked threats to the human race. What better place to start addressing the threat than an institution that devotes itself to cutting-edge research on technology and also seeks to make the world a better place?
